As a Swiss fine watch brand rooted in the town of Le Brassus in Vallée de Joux, Audemars Piguet has more than 130 years of women’s watches With a long history, with the changing times, Audemars Piguet has successfully created timepieces that fit the spirit of the times and the lifestyle of women. From the late 1960s to the 1970s, Audemars Piguet set out to explore and design unique oval-shaped watches for women. In 1995, in order to usher in the new millennium, Audemars Piguet officially launched its millennial series in oval shape. In 2005, the 20th anniversary of the millennium series, three new women’s watches for the first time adopted the exposed design of the balance wheel and balance plate, specially designed for women who love the beauty of mechanical technology.

Inspiration for oval design
 From the late 1960s to the 1970s, Audemars Piguet set out to explore and design unique oval-shaped watches for women. These superbly crafted horizontal or vertical oval shaped watches are adorned with various gemstones and are scarcely produced. Compared to women’s watches in previous decades, these timepieces have larger gems and more active and bold shapes.

 Audemars Piguet’s women’s watches made during this period brought together the superb skills of craftsmen in various fields, including women’s watch movements, including complex functions. They have been independently designed, developed and produced in Audemars Piguet. Every detail of each movement component and case is hand-finished in accordance with traditional techniques.
Gold-encrusted watch, 1970, reference MU 360

 The gold casting technology has entered a new era of development with this 18K yellow gold watch. The elliptical shape with exquisite detailing of cable-like spiral embellishment makes people shine. The horizontal oval dial is made of green garnet of the garnet family, and the bezel is like a strap with a spiral spiral inlay design.

Hollow jewelry watch, 1988, reference MU 1210

 A skeletonized or engraved watch refers to the movement of the watch’s bottom plate with the highest precision to show the beauty of the mechanical movement. Since the 1920s, Audemars Piguet has been making hollow watches, and watchmakers in watch factories have focused on the production of such precision timepieces. This watch uses an ultra-thin mechanical movement, the bezel is decorated with 56 baguette-cut diamonds, and the total diamond weight is about 6.4 carats.

Millennial Women’s Watch

 In 1995, to celebrate the new millennium, Audemars Piguet launched the new Millenary millennial watch, inspired by the Colosseum in Rome. Today, the Audemars Piguet millennium series has been available for 20 years.
